From the brand Crazy Go Nuts, the story began in late 2013 with 32 burlap sacks of uncracked walnuts. Co-founder Courtney Carini decided to expand upon a decades-old family recipe after receiving an email from her father about the 1200 pounds of walnuts he had picked on his small Lake County, CA farm. She and co-founder David Wolfe then created six more recipes, and several weeks of trial and error later, they had what was the beginning of Crazy Go Nuts!

Walnuts are a superfood, known for their high content of omega-3s and antioxidants, among a myriad of other health benefits. The walnuts used in Crazy Go Nuts products are steam pasteurized at 200 degrees F for 9 minutes, neither raw nor roasted. While customers are welcome to refrigerate or freeze the products to extend shelf life, it is not required as long as they are stored in a cool, dark place.

Crazy Go Nuts offers a variety of yummy flavored walnut snacks and creamy walnut butter spreads. The Plain Walnut Butter with Sea Salt is a slightly salty nut butter spread with only two ingredients: walnuts and sea salt, with no flavorings. It has a thick and smooth texture like peanut butter, but a light and fluffy consistency when stirred thoroughly, and a lower density and runnier texture than most other nut butters. It contains 2 net carbs per serving (2 Tbsp.).

All Crazy Go Nuts walnut snacks and butters are all-natural, with no added colors, preservatives, corn-syrup, or flavorings. The company prides itself on using simple, recognizable ingredients without sacrificing great taste. The delicious walnut butters are also available in Banana, Oatmeal Cookie, Maple, Chocolate Brownie, Coconut, and Chocolate Espresso flavors.

The walnuts used in Crazy Go Nuts products are sourced from California, and the company is proud to use 100% California walnuts of the most recent crop. All of the walnut snacks and butters are made in the company's own manufacturing facility in California. Crazy Go Nuts does not process any other nuts besides coconut (for their coconut flavored walnut products).
